Who is Dr. Mark Zuzga?
If you haven’t had occasion to visit the West Florida Vein Center you might not be familiar with one of the areas foremost Vein Specialists Dr. Mark Zuzga.
A native of Michigan, he received his bachelor’s degree at Oakland University. He went on to pursue and obtain his medical degree from Michigan State University. Following graduation, he completed a general surgery residency at the prestigious Mount Clemens General Hospital in Michigan, as well as a vascular surgery fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey.
Post-residency, Dr. Zuzga completed an interventional endovascular fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. There he followed his passion and acquired the most state-of-the-art training available in minimally invasive treatments for vascular disease including carotid artery stenting, stenting for the treatment of aortic aneurysms, and angioplasty of peripheral arteries.
Dr. Zuzga is a member of the International Society of Endovascular Specialists and has co-authored many publications and studies on vascular disease. His focus includes all aspects of vascular surgery and general surgery.
Dr. Zuzga is the Director of the West Florida Vein Center for minimally invasive treatment options for vein issues, such as varicose and spider veins.
