That is why we wanted to give you some background into who Dr. Zuzga is, and some insight into his background so that you can make an educated choice and feel comfortable at your consultation and with your treatment.
Dr. Zuzga is a down-to-earth physician who carefully listens to each and every patient making sure to take a full medical history as well as address any current feelings, issues, and concerns.
Questions are welcomed so that you fully understand what treatments entail and what is being recommended as well as the prognosis of your particular outcome.
He is a native of Michigan. He received his bachelor’s degree at Oakland University and his medical degree from Michigan State University. He completed a general surgery residency at Mount Clemens General Hospital in Michigan and a vascular surgery fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey.
In addition, Dr. Zuzga completed an interventional endovascular fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Here he acquired state-of-the-art training in minimally invasive treatments for vascular disease including carotid artery stenting, stenting for the treatment of aortic aneurysms, and angioplasty of peripheral arteries. He is a member of the International Society of Endovascular Specialists and has co-authored many publications and studies on vascular disease. His interests include all aspects of vascular surgery and general surgery.
